We found a lot of these today.
A strange day, initially we were unaware as to the extent of the flooding. All boats have been stopped on the river. Many paths and roads closed, and flood defended going up everywhere. Wherever we went it was quiet, some people out just watching the river. Workmen and official looking people in groups looking at the river. The speed of the water is frightening. We saw huge fish in fields and channels.
There have been reports of terrible flooding and rain - but we hoped it was further east than you - parts of Czech republic and southern Germany are really struggling - but then it seems you are too! Who could have predicted this? How unlucky. Even Mark thinks you're justified in staying in hotels - what a cheek! Can only hope that the further north you get, the weather improves - which is weird, you'd expect it to get colder! But that's not possible, I guess. Good luck!
